Roscommon County Playday

Roscommon County Playday took place on Saturday 2nd July in Lough Key Forest Park, Boyle Co. Roscommon.
The event was officially launched by Mayor of Roscommon County Council, Councillor Tom Crosby. This event was coordinated by Roscommon County Childcare Committee in conjunction with Roscommon County
Council. This event was live in 2022 following 2 years of online playday events due to Covid 19 Restrictions. A number of events ran throughout the day including Roscommon Sports Partnership providing fun and games for under 12’s, Arts and Craft sessions for all ages, Music generation sessions for all ages, Lego land and Baby story time for babies and toddler’s , Roscommon Mobile Library service for all ages, Mindfulness for teenagers, Roscommon FAI for all ages. Roscommon GAA for all ages, Roscommon LGFA for all ages, Outdoor play workshop for parents, Sticky Kids music and movement session for young children. Minnie and Mickey were in attendance and Castlerea inflatables provided a wonderful display of characters including Spiderman, Shrek, Dragon, Elsa from Frozen and an Elephant. Playday ran from 12pm to 4pm with over 300 children 264 parents registering to participate in Playday.
