PIP Announcement: New Applications Closed for Higher Capitation
New applications for Higher Capitation on the ECCE 2019/20 Programme Call are now closed for submission effective from 26/06/2020 in line with the ECCE Programme Year. No new applications submitted after this date will be processed.
For any applications submitted prior to 26/06/2020 with outstanding queries or issues, there will be a further 2 week period granted for final submission, closing on Friday 24th July. These queries and issues would have been highlighted directly to Service Providers on the Higher Capitation form, specifying the outstanding issues and guidance on how to resolve. Please be aware that after this date, submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Additional preliminary allocations paid to services to allow time for the Higher Capitation Application to be processed will be declined following closure on Friday 24th July. Therefore service providers who received this additional funding allocation and whose higher capitation application has not been approved may be considered to be overpaid and the additional preliminary funding allocation may be recouped.
Please note: if the query identified is related to the recognition of qualifications for staff members, please ensure that your staff members contact the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) directly at EYQualifications@dcya.gov.ie who will prioritise any outstanding qualification recognition applications.
To enable the DCYA to more effectively prioritise these requests, please ensure that your staff members clearly indicate the issue in their communication. Due to GDPR requirements, all communications to the DCYA on higher cap qualification queries must come directly from the relevant staff member for whom higher cap qualification is being considered. DCYA will not accept applications or correspondence from service providers on behalf of their staff.
