Áine Mannion, Childcare Development Officer with Roscommon County Childcare Committee acknowledges ‘the important role parent and toddler groups provide in the community, creating opportunities for children of the same age and their parents/guardians to meet. It also provides children with an opportunity to socialize with other children, while still having the security of their parents/guardians close by. These groups are a fantastic opportunity to build a child’s confidence while providing a stepping stone for children preparing for crèche or pre-school’.
Roscommon CCC would like to congratulate all the successful Parent and Toddler Groups in the County and look forward to working closely with them in the coming year. A presentation evening took place on Thursday September 6th for all groups who received the grant.
