School-Age Childcare

School age childcare will cater for children up to age of 14 years. A School age childcare service takes responsibility for children when they're not at school e.g. before school, after school and during the school holidays to enable a parent or parents to avail of full time employment or training. The ethos here should be a combination of educational activities, help with homework if necessary and encouraging and developing the ability of children to engage in social and creative activities with their peers.
