The Roscommon Childcare Providers Networks were established as a response to support the ongoing needs and development of both staff and management of Childcare services working within Co. Roscommon. The networks have since grown and developed into a support groups, one for Community Providers and one for Private Providers, who value the importance of Early Childhood Care and Education.
The aims of the Roscommon Childcare Providers Networks are to:
Promote the development of all children through the provision of a quality childcare service within the county
Promote the interests and welfare of Childcare Providers within the County
Empower, and facilitate mutual support for Childcare Providers
Promote integration and social inclusion through the activities of the Network
Work in Partnership with Parents/Carers and all others involved in Childcare
The objectives of the Roscommon Childcare Providers Networks are to:
Provide a forum, where common interests can be safely aired and discussed, and, when appropriate, promoted.
Gather, share and disseminate information on matters relating to childcare via the Network, the Roscommon Childcare Committee and other media
Ensure that Providers have a voice through their representatives on the County Childcare Committee and other appropriate for a
Access training specific to the needs of Providers within the County
Develop and improve communication between providers and other parties involved with childcare
Highlight Childcare issues, locally and nationally
Lobby on behalf of providers to improve funding for Childcare
Avail of supports from Roscommon County Childcare committee, and other agencies.
